STATEMENT OF THE BAYAT FOUNDATION ON THE BADAKHASAN EARTHQUAKE:
Together with all Afghans, we at The Bayat Foundation and The Bayat Group—Afghan Wireless, Ariana Television and Radio—mourn the loss of life caused by the October 26th, 7.5 magnitude earthquake in Badakhshan Province. We pledge to do everything in our power to provide assistance, comfort and hope to all those who were injured and displaced by this tragic and terrible disaster.
Let us pray for—and provide assistance to—every Afghan who needs our help. Together, we will show our fellow Afghans—and the world—that in this moment of sadness and grief, Afghanistan remains—and will always be—a compassionate and courageous nation.
